Jewelry techniques with polymer clay
Polymerclay is a clay made of chemical components. The main component is polyvinyl-chloride. The most known trademark is Fimo. This is the clay we will use in the course.
The first methode you will learn is a simple way to become more natural colours. After that we will take a look at the Skinnerblend. With the help of a pasta machine you learn to roll plates of clay with a perfect flow over from one colour to another. By the aid of mould you can cut out forms that serve as the base for a bigger design;
After this you will learn different techniques to create form - and colouring effects. Textures can be applied by using relief plates, sanding paper and natural materials. The pieces you make, will be baked during the lessons and can be used as a part of a necklace or brooch afterwards.
