In this workshop you will become acquainted with the basic principles of enamel. We start by taking a look at the work of some contemporary designers. We discuss the 8 different enamel applications. And then it's time to start yourself.

You learn how to prepare copper and silver in a correct way. In the first instance, we will melt the enamel with a manual burner so that you can follow the specific properties of the melting process in detail. Then we switch to the oven. Now it is time to experiment with the different techniques. We practice with a painting enamel, round bosse, cloisonné and pliqué à jour.

Before applying the enamel, you can also prepare various plates in silver. Do you have pieces that have been cast, remnants of an embossed plate, remnants of an etched sheet ... then you can bring all this and use it as a starting point.

The studio closes from 13h till 14h for the lunch break. There are different eating facilities in the neighborhood.
