Crocheting in metal
We will start this workshop by taking a look at the different metal wires you can use. We will try out the different techniques together: flat patterns, volumes and the hairpin lace.
You can use your pieces of crocheting as a part of a larger jewel design. Or you can make a jewel only by crocheting and in this way creating a 3 dimensional form. If you can already solder, you can make big hollow crocheted beads.
You can use stones or little objects as inclusions, combinations with textile are also possible. I recommend to refresh the ordinary crochet stitch before the start of the workshop.
Included:
- brass-, copper- and binding wire
- silver wire: 0,2 mm (5 meter) and 0,3 mm (3 meter)
- use of the studio materials
