Open studio - Lost wax

During the open studio sessions, you are free to work on your own designs under the guidance of a teacher. Before you can take this class, you already took one of the workshops on this subject. You can continue working on the techniques you learned, level 1 and 2. I will guide you in creating your own design, I won't be teaching new techniques during this workshop.

 

You can use the building-wax, wax-glue and candles in the studio. Other kinds of wax, you bring yourself or you can purchase them in the studio. If you plan on the second option, let me know in time, so I have enough stock to offer you. If you wish, I'll have your jewels cast in silver. After receiving the casting- and shipment costs, I will send you your jewelry.

• use of the larger studio equipments

 

To bring yourself:

• pencil
• paper
• an apron if you wish
• the kinds of wax you need
• basic equipment depending on your design:

files, scalples, drills and burrs, saws (fine and rough), metal brush, materials for printing, stones for settings,...
