Information

Registration by email

To register for workshops, send an email to lotte.de.mey@gmail.com . Specify which workshop(s) you want to follow and in which month.

Specify your name, address and phone number as well. You will soon receive a confirmation email with the bank account number and the advance payment that is required (25 or 50 euro). Your registration is final after the advance is paid. A few weeks before the start of the workshop you will receive another mail with all information about the workshop, after which you pay the remaining amount.

If you would like to receive an invoice, please mention this in your email. The invoice will be waiting for you in the studio.

Number of participants

The workshops are always organised for small groups to be able to teach in a personalised manner. There are 6 participants maximum. The workshops are taught in Dutch and English and will always take place if there are at least two registrations.

Included in the course fee

If you click the name of a workshop in the agenda or in the overview, you get a full description which includes which materials are included in the course fee and whether there are any extra costs.

There are always tea and biscuits in the studio.

Literature

In the studio there's a small library with lots of information about all types of subjects that relate to jewelry: techniques, contempary designers, history, magazines, ... . Everything can be consulted during the workshops, but the books aren't loaned out.

Waiting list

If the workshop for which you want to register is full, you can still have yourself put on the waiting list (2 spots). Please send an email to be added.

Canceling

If you registered for a workshop but can't come, let us know as soon as possible. The advance and the course fee will be paid back until two weeks before the start of the workshop. After that refunds are not possible because the material for the workshop has already been purchased.

Workshops levels

There are workshops in three different levels. For level 1 workshops you don't need any prior knowledge or experience. For level 2 you should be familiar with the basic techniques: soldering, sawing en filing. Help will still be provided for applying these techniques though. For level 3 it is assumed you don't need any help for these basic techniques, and the techniques that are being taught will build on them. If you're not sure for which levels you're eligible, contact me to discuss it!

For the workshops of levels 2 and 3 you should bring your own basic materials (pliers, files, saws, tweezers, solder, ...).

Guest teachers will be invited regularly to teach workshops about their own specialty.

Workshops on demand

Workshops can be organised outside the regular schedule about a subject of your choice if you have at least four people who want to participate. Contact me if you'd like further information about this. These workshops can not be canceled once scheduled.

Workshops level 1

For the workshops of level 1, no advance knowledge is required, so both beginners and professionals are welcome. All these workshops are taught by Lotte De Mey in her studio in Antwerp. The exact dates, prices and location can be found in the agenda.
