- how to calculate the height of the bezel
- how to calculate the length of each bezel
- how to form and solder each bezel
- how to prepare each bezel for setting
- different manners of setting
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for every jeweler who finished a basic training and wants to learn to work with gemstones. These are the kind of settings you want to start with. Do you already have some experience with settings, and is it time for you to learn how to set them? Then this is the right place as well. I will discuss and show you how to close the settings for all the different kind of stones.
The manner in which you finish your setting will speak on your abilities as a jeweler. I will teach you how to do this in a professional way to get a very beautiful and clean result!
You have complete access to the whole course (9 chapters) as soon as you login to it.
(If you are especially interested in cutting a mirror edge on a bezel setting, I will be recording a seperate course about that, because it is a skill that needs a lot of training before you can try it on a setting. In this course I only briefly touch the subject.)

What materials do you need?
you need all your basic jewelry tools
specific for this course:
- setting tools (I make my own and will add a course about that later)
- a good drill
- magnifier glasses are recommended for the stone setting
- thin and soft rubber burs
- protoplast or thermolock
- a ring clamp
- a vise
- a chasing hammer (or a light goldsmiths hammer)
What is the prize?
The course costs 577€. That gives you lifelong access to the course and all future updates. It is possible to pay in installments.
Early bird offer: If you buy the course before the 1st of September, you get two hours of group coaching for free! This coaching takes place on September 30th 2023 from 10 till 12 am. That gives you enough time to practice before the coaching.
If you cannot attend the life coaching, you will receive a video recording afterwards. During the life coaching you can ask questions or get extra information about struggles you had while making the settings. For me, this is a failsafe, it will tell me if all aspects of my course are clear and if I need to make some adjustments or add more demonstrations on a certain subject.
When you buy the course after August 31st 2023 there will be no more life coaching (including the recording), but you will be able to ask questions on the online platform. Other students can help you along, you can share your progress and encourage each other. I will monitor the platform weekly and answer any remaining questions or point you to the correct chapter in the course where you can find the answer.
